The School Girl.

Hi all, here is the paper doll design for my daily outfit.
Today outfit style is about back to school look ^.^

Going to play a visit to my friend's cool studio as there're having a special workshop.
By chance, I'm invited to be an one day old student >.<

Yea, I'm so exiting to become a student again (sigh...I miss school)!
Still one of my favorite things ever is to style my school look ^.^

To look young like a student, start with basic tee in pastel color.
The giant skull from Cheap Monday do lend everyday outfit
a hit of contemporary cool.

Pair with unexpected bottom, like mini skirt with frill hem instead of denim ^.^
Refreshing and cheery patten make the skirt something a little more interesting.

An essential school item - the school bag can always become statement accessory.
Try satchel bags which are very polished and sophisticated.

This vintage satchel is practical as the bag can fit all my essentials included
stationery for school while channelling a preppy vibe.

When it come to school shoes, the comfy the better ^.^
Rocking a pair of polka dots socks with classic simple
white sneakers for a fun kicks.

Sometimes it's cute to be a little matchy-matchy,
especially when accessories are involved:
skull ring and bracelet along with a cute mustache necklace.

Jacket Over Shoulder.

Here the paper doll design for my outfit of the day.
Today outfit is about leisurely luxury style ^.^

Is a raining day, I'm heading out for hi-tea gathering with my friends.
Dressing floral in blue and white for a delicate look ^.^

Matching floral top and bottom for an ultimate feminine style.
(To maximize my wardrobe versatility, the floral dress wear as skirt here.)

Dressing weather-appropriate to keep me warm on this chillier afternoon.
Since it's not too cold to actually wear a jacket, draping will do I think ^.^

Meaning to wear a jacket or coat draped over the shoulders instead of arms-in.
( we can always arms-in the jacket if getting colder... )

Jacket-over-shoulder style instantly update a leisurely look to luxury ^.^
I love jacket draped cape-style as it keep me warm while
not totally covering my outfit.

This look is practical for office or indoor,
still I'm not suggesting for walking around the city with cape,
unless you try to look like a superhero!

Wearing head-to-toe in white and blue with a pop of red is very classic.

Sometimes it is not what you wear, but how you wear it ^.^

Chaotic Mixing.

Here the paper doll design for my outfit of the day.
Today outfit is about clashing patterns and prints (again!)!

Going to attend my friend's birthday party with the themed : Chaos.
Well, the first thing came in my mind was "mix things up"!

To create a daring and playful party look, I decided to
mix and match with multi-patternsss...
Make sure the patterns complement each another instead of just mash-up with other ^.^

Re-mixed some pieces from my wardrobe :
geometric print tank dressaztec pattern mini skirt baroque style dress (as skirt here)
= chaotic party look.

The key is to mix patterns that are from the same color family or color scheme ^.^
Harmonious of colors unite different patterns to archive an cohesive balance look.

Mixing and matching pattern is all about way to express myself by
experimenting own wardrobe ^.^
It can be challenging to put multi-patterned outfit together...let's brave the world!

Find your niche, be bold and love your look.
Probably Confidence is the best accessory ^.^

Mixed patterns is an instant style re-make, making you appear chic and fun!
Nevertheless, mixing patterns as fun (chaotic) as
putting together a dazzling crazy puzzle.

Need tips?
The only tip to remember is to HAVE FUN with the patterns and trust your gut!

Take A Break.

Here the paper doll design for my outfit of the day.
Today outfit is about outdoor look.

Outdoor activities are a key to any healthy lifestyle ^.^
Always apply sunscreen to avoid UV (ultraviolet) that can damage the skin >.<

A pair of sunglasses and hat is needed to block the UV ^.^
Go for long-sleeved shirts and long pants that give more protection.

For a casual look, wear a plaid button down shirt with
a graphic tee from Uniqlo underneath.
Tee featured an upside down rabbit with some personality of Bugs,
 though looking very playful.

Bugs Bunny is very funny but brainy - my all time favorite!
Pair it with the super comfy leggings and sneakers in a
casual meets cool (or cute?) kinda way.

To make it look stylish yet practical,
tied the plaid shirt around the waist when free from UV.
A brightly plaid & flannel pattern popped fantastic against plain or simple outfit.

Camouflage is a masculine print thus its look cool on woman (sorry dear his bag!).
Try camo print mixing with linear print like plaid or stripes work best.

Put everything (hat, sunscreen, snacks...) into the waterproof camo print tote and
I'm ready to go!

It's time to step outside, take a deep breath, and play!

10.5.14

Rock for Skulls.

Here the paper doll design for my outfit of the day.
Today outfit is rock for skulls!

Skull - the most common symbolic use to represent death and mortality.
The motif of death has made its way into the fashion world and
it has become a fashion statement.

Skull (or skeleton) can be worn in a variety of ways, ranging from punk, rock,
until a cute girl style with a touch of grunge ^.^

This symbol of death and life are no doubt to convey a rebellious style.

Wearing an oversized tee bearing a kissing skeleton couple is indeed dark,
but mysteriously beautiful.
Obtain maximum skull-appeal by adding the chunky skull accessories ^.^

Keep it feminine by paired with a cute and sweet bunny headband ^.^
Adorable bunny ears are definitely add some girly touch to the grunge look.

Complete the monochrome look by wearing black and white from head to toe.

Polka dots scarf, tote bag, socks and wedges,
everything are in classic black and white.
Socks with oriental motif make the outfit more fun and unique.

I love skull as it's makes everything look chic!

6.5.14

Layering is Fun.

Here another paper doll design for my outfit of the day.
Today outfit is about mixing and matching organic prints ^.^

Paisley, a beautiful pattern that has come a long way from its roots.
In the 60's it was adopted by hippie culture,
perhaps because it does look a bit psychedelic.

Basically, paisley shape look like a twisted teardrop.
The teardrop-resembling ornaments repeat themselves to form a
variations of exotic paisley pattern.

As you know, I love pattern, I'm hardly stay in one print for my outfit ^.^
Though mixing and matching prints is the peek of chic!

Paisley can be matched with basic prints such as polka dots or stripes.
To look even bolder, here I try matching paisley with cool camouflage print.

These complicated combo -
Paisley vs Camo look happy together as the colors match good together.
The key is to mix and match prints according to colors, not just the prints themselves.

Break up the prints with something solid to ground the look.
Just layer the print top over a solid color dress, layering is fun!

Layer a chain belt to highlight the waistline as layering can look plumpy.
Pair with sneakers can instantly add edge to any look ^.^

Mix and match is cool!
The fact is we could create a brand new outfit without buying anything new ^.^
